“Kaleidoscope London is a community for VR Creators to explore the art and science of virtual reality. Holding quarterly Showcases, Kaleidoscope brings together local innovators to share their work, find collaborators, and experience Kaleidoscope’s Official Selection of groundbreaking, new projects.”
– Kaleidoscope London
Acting as Kaleidoscope London’s Community Director, Bertie Millis (Virtual Umbrella, MD), facilitates and runs London-based VR showcases across the year. The first of these meet-ups, Volume 1, played host to over twenty new VR experiences, featuring work and talks from major studio, Google Spotlight Stories, as well as from rising virtual reality innovators, Joost Jordens and Mike von Rotz.
Other exhibitors included representatives from virtual reality dramatists, Breaking Fourth, and the Head of VR from Surround Vision (creator of 360 degree interactive pieces for Sky News).
Virtual Umbrella plans to curate a follow-up event for Kaleidoscope London in February 2017, gathering local, national, and international VR talent for talks, exhibitions, networking, and more.
