Thames Valley Launch – Venus Awards

The Venus Awards has been a big part of Virtual Umbrella this year

It has been a great experience to meet so many great women working in lots of different sectors regionally and nationally. It has also been great to introduce the Venus Award to the virtual reality industry and encourage our own industry to get involved with the awards.

This year we won the New Business Award in Southampton and won the New Business Award at the national awards. We still have to pinch ourselves. We have to say a massive thank you to Tara Howard and all the Venus team for a great experience.

If you are not familiar, The Venus Awards are a high profile regional event that recognize and reward women in local business for outstanding contribution they make to the communities. Venus Awards started in Dorset in 2009 and has since grown and now has a great list of regions involved.

I am excited to support Venus Awards and share the news that the Venus has just announced that the Thames Valley Region has been launched and you can now nominate.It is great to see the event growing across the UK. If you would like to find out more head to the website.
